Our wood fences are typically built with pressure treated pine boards. All posts are treated to .40 which is made for below surface installation. All posts are also anchored in concrete and typically installed every 8' apart. The back rails are with two 2 x 4's between posts up to 4' high and 5 & 6' high have three 2 x 4's at every section. The pickets are generally 1 x 4's up to 4' high and 1 x 6's for 5' and taller.
Posts will be either flat cut or with a decorative top. If a top is going to be installed determining the height over the picket would be beneficial before the projects gets underway.
The walk gates are generally 4' wide and the drive through gates are 10' wide. All with heavy duty black ornamental hinges. The double drive gate will have a cane bolt that will be installed on one of the gates and when closed the rod will go into the pipe that is installed in the ground to keep the gates in closed position. All latches can be locked and padlocked.
There are endless styles that can be built with wood. Even the spacing between the pickets can be adjusted to the customers preference. Wood fences may appear to look the same but some have the entire post visible from out side the fence and some just have the top where the post top is visible and even though the style is the same the whole post is hidden behind the fence.
When the terrain is rolling there are styles that will blend in and alter the appearance as if the land is more level. Also if the fence is to keep pets in some styles will keep every picket to the ground.
